What is an E-Bike?

​An E-Bike is a bicycle with electric pedal assistance. You still pedal, but the motor supports you—making hills and longer rides easier and more fun.

Do I need a driver’s license to ride an E-Bike?

​No. A driver’s license is not required.

​

Do I need cycling experience?

​Basic cycling skills are recommended. Our E-Bikes are easy to use and suitable for beginners.

​

How far can I ride on one charge?

​Depending on terrain and assistance level, up to 60–100 km per charge.

​

Can I ride without electric assistance?

​Yes. You can ride the bike like a normal bicycle or choose a very low assistance level.

 

Are helmets included?

Yes. Helmets are included and mandatory for your safety.

​

What should I bring?

​A valid ID/passport or other like drivers licence. Comfortable clothing, closed shoes, sun cream and water.

​

Is there a minimum age?

​Riders must be at least 16 years old. Younger riders are only allowed with prior approval.

​

Do you offer route recommendations?

​Absolutely! We are happy to help you plan routes to Chapman’s Peak, Cape Point, Simon’s Town, and other scenic areas.

​

Can I take the E-Bike on gravel roads?

​Yes, light gravel roads are fine. Off-road or extreme trails are not permitted.

​

Is there a deposit?

​R1,000 deposit per bike. The deposit will be refunded if the bike is returned accident-free and without damage.

​

What happens if the bike gets damaged?

​Normal wear is included. Any damage caused by negligence or accidents may be charged to the rider.

​

What happens if the weather is bad?

​In case of strong wind or heavy rain, we recommend rescheduling. Please contact us to discuss options.

Do I need to sign an indemnity form?

​Yes. All riders must sign an indemnity form before riding.
